Spirit of the Sea

In this 2D/3D hybrid group project, I served as the 3D artist, exploring ways to blend 3D with 2D animation. The key challenge was aligning 3D elements to the anime visual style through shading and compositing techniques.

2D Animatic for the 3D animated scenes

A geometry nodes setup was made to control the fish and motion trails.

Modelled in Blender and textured in Substance Painter
